RA NA Standing Committees Convene Sittings

On November 8 the RA NA Standing Committees convened sittings.

The Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Armen Ashotyan conducted the sitting of the Committee. He has informed that it is designed to hold parliamentary hearings on December 1 jointly with the RA NA Standing Committee on European Integration on the theme Armenia-European Union: Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership . The participation of the RA NA deputies, Ambassadors of other countries, the members of the RA Government and the representatives of the civil society is scheduled in the hearings.

The Committee endorsed the Committee Chairman’s proposal on holding the parliamentary hearings.

At the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs and Protection of Human Rights moderated by Hrayr Tovmasyan endorsed the legislative package on Making Addendum to the RA Land Code, on Amending the RA Civil Code, on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Local Self-Government and on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Artak Asatryan presented for debate in the first reading the legislative package on amending several laws. The bills were endorsed by the Committee.

The bill on Making Addendum to the Criminal Code was discussed in the first reading.

The RA Deputy Minister of Health Care Sergey Khachatryan, the RA NA deputy Gevorg Petrosyan, the RA NA Vice President Arpine Hopvhannisyan expressed their opinion on the bill.

The package of bills presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Artur Hovhannisyan was debated.

The bills on Amending the RA law on Legal regime of the Martial Law and on Prosector's Office were debated in the second reading, enjoying the endorsement of the Committee.

On the same day the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport moderated by Vardan Bostanjyan convened the regular sitting. The Committee Chairman presented the agenda of the sitting.

The RA Minister of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan presented for debate in the second reading the draft law on Ecological Education and Upbringing of the Population.

The RA Deputy Minister of Culture Artur Poghosyan presented for debate in the second reading the two draft laws. The NA deputy Karine Atshemyan gave details on the bill.

The Committee Chairman, highlighting the importance of the professional education in the RA and the current potential, proposed to hold parliamentary hearings on the theme The ongoing reforms and legislative problems in the sphere of professional education and teaching on November 28.

Vardan Bostanjyan presented in detail the themes of the reports designed for the hearings and the speakers to the Committee members.
